Community health outreach - The mobile clinics and the dispensary
St. Anna runs a small dispensary which offers primary health care to the school children and the nearby community. The facility is most vital to the old who mostly ails from age related complications ranging from diabetics, arthritis, high blood pressure and depression.
We conduct door to door clinic visits whereby the centre clinical staff goes to their homes to test them and advise them on the best drugs and lifer styles they should maintain or do away with. However there has been a huge challenge because the dispensary cannot sustain itself as we treat the elderly for free. It has been a challenge to buy drugs enough for these people and to sustain our facility staff. We are currently having the option of giving the facility out to the government.
